Google Apps – Premier Edition
As of last Friday we have moved our IT department (mainly email, files, online collaboration from Adobe) to Google Apps. I was a little weary about the $50 charge per user (per year) but within this first week of using the service I have seen tremendous improvement in my productivity! Not only is the Gmail platform of a “conversational email” the most convenient way to communicate, but the Google Docs (formerly Writley) addition helps me to wrap up almost everything I am working on in one single location. No more do I have to “run back to the office” to make sure that email sent, or to “pull up that spreadsheet” when I can do it from anywhere. The only downside here was the lengthy installation process that involved changing multiple records from my domain provider. If Google offered domain services I would certainly sign up – and I think then I would be “all Google” too!
If you choose not to use the premier edition of Google Apps, you can still sign up at the free level with small ads that pay for the service.
I would highly recommended the Google Apps service at http://google.com/a

I love Google Apps. They still have a ways to come though so I am using the free version.
